My 1st Power Point Slide Show

What will you learn today?

You will learn how to create a Power Point presentation. In your presentation, you will learn how to insert music, images, create a slide transition, and add animation to your images, and text.

2 Important points you have to remember.

1. The right click button on your mouse is your friend.

2. Make sure you save your work often.

Part 1

Step 1.Open the Power Point template located here àMy Computer à 

S:\Shared\Phu\slide show project\template.ppt

 

Step 2. Go to your 1^st slide 

 

 

Step 3. Insert a photo of yourself. If you don’t have one inserts a MIA photo. 

Click on the Insert image icon. (Bottom icon on your left)

Go to Views à Thumbnails

 

 

Step 4. Go to your 2^nd slide

 

 

Step 5. Insert Clip Arts

Click on the Insert Clip Art Icon. (Top icon on your right)

 

Step 6. Type in a search term.

 

 

 

Step 7. Go to your 3rd slide.

 

 

Step 8. Insert two photos of your friends.

Click on the Insert image icon. (Bottom icon on your left)

Go to Views à Thumbnails

 

 

Part 2

Step 1. Animating your text

Right click on the text, scroll down to Custom Animation to create your own animation.

 

 

 

Please follow this Custom Animation Setting. (Start: with Previous)

 

 

Step 2. Animating your clip arts and images

Right click on your images or clip arts, scroll down to Custom Animation to create your own animation.

 

 

Please follow this Custom Animation Setting. (Start: with Previous)

 

 

 

Part 3

Step 1. Slide Transition

Right click on the slide, scroll down to Slide Transition to create your own transition.  

 

Follow this setting for your Slide Transition

 

 

 

Part 4

Step 1. Insert sound clip

Go to Insert à Movie and Sounds à Sounds from File

 

 

The sound file is located here à My Computer à S:\Shared\Phu\slide show project\slide_show_music

 

Please follow this setting.

 

 

Part 5

Step 1. Save Your Work!!!

File à Save As                                                           

Name it Power_Point_2007

Make sure you save your work in the

“My Document Folder”

If you don’t, your work will not be saved.
