Today you will be learning how to use Google Map to find a business establishment. You will learn how to print out directions from your home to your destination. If you don’t know your home address, you can use the Clyde-Savannah High School address – 215 Glasgow Street, Clyde, N.Y. 14433
Step 1
Launch Internet Explorer.
Step 2
Go to www.google.com
When you get to the Google welcome screen, click on “Maps”.
Step 3
Click on find business.
Search for one of these businesses within the city of Newark, NY 14513.
Ex: pizza, restaurant, salon, school, theatre, hotel, day care, gym, book store, grocery store, and discount store.
Step 4
Click on the name of your business that you like to get the direction for. Example: “A Pizza Hut”.
Step 5
When the balloon dialogue box appears, click on “To Here”.
Step 6
Type in your address. Make sure you have the right syntax (correct order of writing) your address. It should look like this, 12345 Main Street, Your City, 12345 or State.
Step 7
Click on “Go”. This will give you the direction from your home address to the business address.
Step 8
Show your assignment to Mr. Phu before you print it. It should look like the illustration in step 7.
Step 9
To print your map you need to go to à File à Print
Step 10
Choose your printer, and than click on print.
Step 11
Hand your assignment to Mr. Phu.
Step 12
You will need to complete this assignment for two business establishment.
